In addition to being an award-winning filmmaker and New York Times bestselling author, Ian Halperin is also the son of  a holocaust survivor. In describing the reason for his upcoming documentary on Roger Waters, Halperin said, “being the son of a holocaust survivor, I almost fell off my chair… that somebody was able to be out on tour, and during his tour dress up in a Nazi uniform and have pigs with the star of David emblazoned on it and make all these nefarious statements about the State of Israel and against the Jewish people.”

“What Roger Waters is spewing goes much far beyond freedom of expression. It’s an ingrained hatred toward the Jewish people and Israel. And this is not me saying this, this is the world’s leading experts who appear in my film. […] Musicians who have played with Rogers [have said] shockingly that Rogers has been cracking Jewish jokes for the last 20 years before he even called for the boycott,” said Halperin.

Rogers Waters has compared Israel to Nazi Germany. In a 2013 interview with the magazine Counter Punch, Waters’ said “The parallels with what went on in the 30’s in Germany are so crushingly obvious that it doesn’t surprise me that the movement that both you and I are involved in is growing every day.”

To get to the bottom of contemporary anti-Semitism, the BDS movement and Waters’ obsession with making Israel appear to be a global pariah, Ian Halperin, traveled the world for 2 years and spoke to recognized experts from all faiths, including Ronald Lauder, Pope Francis, Haras Rafiq, Palestinian and Israeli leaders, U.S., British and French government officials, The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, Alan Dershowitz and Dr. Charles Small.

Halperin’s documentaries have been aired on CNN and in over 160 countries. Wish You Weren’t Here features interviews and remarks by intellectuals and entertainers such as Alan Dershowitz and Howard Stern.

Watch the trailer for Wish You Weren’t Here below. Wish You Weren’t Here is scheduled to be released later this summer.

Hopefully this film will serve to educate those who would otherwise would not have the truth at their disposal. Thank you Ian Halperin for exposing Roger Waters and the BDS movement for what it is – a modern day machine for spreading anti-Jewish and anti-Israel sentiments to those who are easily influenced and otherwise uninformed.
