Friday saw a series of attempted and successful Arab terrorist attacks perpetrated against the Jewish residents of Judea.
On Friday morning, just outside the entrance to the community of Efrat (Judea), in the Gush Etzion region of Israel, a teenage Arab terrorist rammed his car into David Haramati, a 70 year-old man. Haramati, who was lightly injured told Walla News that he saw the Arab smile just before he was run over in the attack. After the attack outside of Efrat, the Arab teenager drove to the nearby Gush Etzion Intersection, where he ran his car into Even Ezra Holeherng, a 35 year-old Israeli man and resident of the Kiryat Arba community. The first victim was lightly injured, while the second victim is in critical condition.
After the second ramming, the teenage terrorist exited his vehicle and attempted to stab soldiers, who shot and neutralized him.
The first attack happened only meters away from Highway 60 and the second attack occurred on the road itself. Highway 60 has been an all time favorite location for Arab rock throwers in recent months. In these rock throwing attacks, Arabs have caused both financial and physical damage to Jewish drivers on the road. These rock attacks have been going on for many months and the world is silent.
Also on Friday, Border Police, just outside of the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron, arrested an Arab who planned to carry out a stabbing attack. A resident of Hebron in his twenties, who aroused the police’s suspicion, arrived at a checkpoint near the Tomb of the Patriarchs. They found a knife and arrested him. An initial investigation revealed that the suspect intended to harm the security forces stationed there.
