Earlier this afternoon, a 25 year-old security guard was stabbed in the upper part of his body on Jerusalem’s Jaffa Street, near the city’s central bus station, by an Arab terrorist, Ynetnews reported. The security guard is in critical condition.
Police said the terrorist arrived at the central bus station’s main entrance, pulled out a knife, stabbed a security guard and fled the scene. A local citizen who spotted him running along Jaffa Street chased him together with a police officer who was standing nearby, and the two gained control of him. The Arab terrorist was arrested and taken in for questioning at the local police station. He was later identified as Yassin Abu al-Qaraa, a 24-year-old resident of Shechem (Nablus).

On Saturday, at 10:56 pm, the terrorist wrote on Facebook: “For Allah, we must boost Jerusalem’s status, restore religion’s glory and sanctify Al-Aqsa, and the blood will flow from us.”
This afternoon’s attack comes roughly 2 years after a 72 year-old woman was stabbed at Jerusalem’s Central Bus Station, which trying to board a bus. During that incident, the Arab was killed at the scene by Israeli security personnel.
Arab Violence in Judea
A nine-year-old girl was lightly injured Sunday morning in an Arab stone-throwing attack on Route 356 between Efrat and Tekoa in Gush Etzion (Judea) south of Jerusalem, Arutz Sheva reported. Yesterday, about 450 Arabs gathered at Rachel’s Tomb near Bethlehem and threw stones at the Jewish worshipers that were gathered there.
Today and yesterday’s attacks come in the aftermath of US President Donald Trump’s historic announcement, in which the president declared his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Arab leaders, as a response to the bold and curious declaration by Trump, incited their Arab constituent’s to attack Jews. Some Arab factions called for “three days of rage,” as their response.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the young girl and the security guard who were attacked earlier today and to their loved ones. We wish them a full and speedy recovery.
