On Friday morning, an Arab terrorist, wearing what appeared to be an explosive belt, disguised himself by blending in with a nearby photo crew and then stabbed a Border Police officer in the upper body, moderately wounding him. The terrorist attack occurred in the Arab city of Ramallah (Samaria) on Friday during a violent Arab protest, Israel’s Border Police said. Border Police and Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were dealing with disturbances in Judea and Samaria Square, when the terrorist stabbed one of the policemen. Israeli forces fired at the terrorist who continued to raise the knife. When he fell to the ground, the commander of the force identified an explosive belt on the body of the terrorist. The border police continued to fire in order to prevent the terrorist from detonating the explosive belt. The terrorist later died of his wounds.

In response to the effective response of Israel’s security forces, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “I praise the activity of the Border Police force that liquidated the terrorist in Judea and Samaria Square and sends good wishes to the fighter who was wounded in the attack. Thanks to our forces who are guarding us around the clock. We all salute you!”

This weekend marks the second consecutive weekend of protests by violent Arabs since Trump announced the United States would recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Throughout the weekend, in multiple locations, thousands of Arab rioters in Gaza, Judea and Samaria threw Molotov cocktails, fireworks, flaming tires and stones at Israel’s security forces and blocked roads in effort to disrupt life in Israel. Since the historic announcement by US President Donald Trump, Arab leaders, as a response to the bold and curious declaration incited their Arab constituent’s to attack Jews.

On Wednesday of this past week, the Israel Security Agency (Shabak) and Israel Police revealed a foiled kidnapping attempt in Samaria. The kidnapping was planned by the terrorist organization Hamas and was to be carried out by members of a Hamas terror cell from Kafr Tal, near Shechem (Nablus). The kidnapping was scheduled for the Hanukkah holiday.

This past Sunday, an Arab terrorist stabbed a 25 year-old security guard in the upper part of his body on Jerusalem’s Jaffa Street, near the city’s central bus station.

We thank the brave members of Israel’s multiple security establishments that risk their lives to protect Israel’s citizens from war-mongering Arab terrorists who threaten Israeli lives on a daily basis.
