Yesterday, for the third time since the beginning of 2018, Israeli Border Police officers thwarted attempted pipe-bomb attacks at the Samaria Military Court near Salem. Three Arabs were arrested at the entrance to the checkpoint just before the entrance to the court. In the aftermath of the attack, the entrance to the court was temporarily blocked.

Sergeant S., a Border Police officer who has been actively on duty at the court, managed to prevent the entry of eight explosive charges into the Samaria Military Court on a number of different occasions. “I do not want to think about what would have happened if the charges were blown up in court, I have to have a sharp eye, I’m not a hero, I’m just doing my job,” the officer said.

Incidences of Arabs with pipe-bombs on their persons trying to enter the Samaria courthouse occurred during last year as well. The motive for targeting the Samaria Military Court was not immediately apparent.
