Thousands of Israelis have hit the streets to celebrate Jerusalem Day, which marks the day the city was reunited 51 years ago in 1967. Prior to that, Jordan had occupied half of Jerusalem, and a wall divided the city into two. Following the stunning success of the IDF in the Six Day War, Jerusalem became a whole city once more.

Since then, Israelis have gathered to sing and dance in celebration of this special day.

People streamed to Jerusalem from all over Israel, and tourists from around the world joined them in the City of Gold as they danced in the streets before heading to pray at the Western Wall in the Old City.
