The head of the UN “Human Rights” Council (UNHRC), Prince Zeid bin Ra’ad Zeid al-Hussein recently begun sending letters to some 150 companies in Israel and around the world. Al-Hussein warned them that they are about to be added to a database of companies doing business in Israeli communities in Judea, Samaria and the Golan Heights, senior Israeli officials and Western diplomats told Haaretz. Last year, the UNHRC voted to approve the database of companies, over objections from the United States and Israel, which describe the list as a prelude to anti-Israel boycotts.

Arutz Sheva reported that U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley conveyed that the U.S. will cut all funding to the UN Human Rights Council if the blacklist is published. Haley has been championing Israeli at the UN since the start of her career as US Ambassador to the UN. Haley has consistently called out the UN and its subsidiaries- such as the UNESCO and UNHRC- for their anti-Israel bias.

In a recent jab at the UN’s world heritage body (UNESCO), Israel presented a historic gift to the organization. The gift was an exact replica of a section of the Arch of Titus (which can be seen today in Rome, not far from the Colosseum). The gift comes after the not-so-surprising decision of UNESCO to declare the old city of Hebron (yes, the place that all of the Jewish patriarchs are buried) as “a Palestinian world heritage site in danger” and the organizations rejection of Israel’s sovereignty over Jerusalem.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, responded to Wednesday’s report saying, “This is an anti-Semitic move in the full sense of the word, and its purpose is not to fight Judea and Samaria but rather the State of Israel… I call on the Trump administration and its representative in the United Nations, Nikki Haley, to unequivocally announce the cessation of U.S. funding for the organization, which is more against the rights of Jews in their country than in favor of human rights.”
