In 2023, Carrefour entered the Israeli market through an exclusive franchise partnership with Electra Consumer Products and its subsidiary Yenot Bitan, rebranding dozens of existing supermarkets under the Carrefour banner Times of Israel. Watchdog and BDS-aligned groups have reported Carrefour-branded stores operating in West Bank settlements, though the company’s leadership denies running stores in occupied territory JNS.
