Each month, the Lev Haolam magazine includes a message from our team in Israel. The February message felt different. It wasn’t just an update. It was a reflection – on return, on resilience, and on what it means to rebuild after unimaginable loss. As winter comes to an end and the fields of Israel’s south bloom once again with red kalaniot, we wanted to share this message with you almost exactly as it was written. It requires believing that what grows next can still be beautiful.

The land is being worked again. The hives are active. The factories are producing. Children’s laughter is slowly returning to kibbutz pathways. The south is not defined only by what it endured. It is defined by the people who choose to continue living, building, and believing there. Like the kalanit, they rise again. Not because the conditions are perfect. But because their roots run deep.
