Rooted in the Land: The Story Behind Our January Message 🌿

Every month, when our community members receive their Lev Haolam box, they receive more than a collection of products. They receive a story.
Alongside the foods, crafts, and creations made with love across Israel, our active clients also receive a monthly magazine – a space where we share reflections, values, and the deeper meaning behind what we do. At the heart of each issue is a company message: a moment to pause, connect, and remember why Lev Haolam exists.
The January magazine, opening a new year, was dedicated to a powerful theme: “Trees of the Land.”
The Tree of the Field Is Man
Our January message draws from timeless biblical wisdom, beginning with the verse from Deuteronomy: “For man is the tree of the field.” This idea – that human life is deeply intertwined with the land, with nature, and with divine purpose – runs through Jewish thought and through the story of Israel itself.
Throughout the Psalms and the words of the prophets, trees are not merely background scenery. They rejoice, they mourn, they wither, and they flourish alongside humanity. When people walk in faith and harmony, the land bears fruit. When tragedy strikes, even the trees seem to grieve.
This connection is not symbolic alone. It is real, living, and visible – especially in the Land of Israel.
Rooted Like the Trees of Israel
A Living Landscape of Resilience
For generations, our ancestors walked among these trees. Deborah sat beneath them. Jonah sought shade under their branches. King David rested beneath them as he composed the Psalms. And today, those same landscapes continue to accompany our lives.
The January Lev Haolam box was carefully curated to honor the fruit of these trees and the people who nurture them:
Olive oil from the Jezreel ValleyAlmonds from the Lower GalileeFig jam from Kibbutz Rosh HaNikraChocolate crafted in JerusalemGranola prepared in the Judean HillsNatural cosmetics created in Samaria
Each product tells a story of place, perseverance, and purpose. Many come from regions that have faced immense challenges – yet continue to grow, create, and rebuild. Like trees, these communities remain deeply rooted, resilient, and life-giving.
Why This Message Matters
At Lev Haolam, we are proud of what we do – but even more so, why we do it.
Our monthly messages are not marketing slogans. They are reflections of our mission: to connect people around the world to the land of Israel and to the families who live, work, and build there every day. They remind us that supporting Israeli creators is not only an economic act, but a moral, spiritual, and human one.
Just as trees offer shade, fruit, and stability, we strive to give back – to strengthen communities, preserve traditions, and help life flourish where it matters most.
Entering the New Year, Together
As we begin a new year, the lesson of the trees feels especially meaningful. To stay rooted in our values. To grow even after hardship. To give generously, quietly, and consistently. And to remain connected – to our origins, to one another, and to the land that inspires everything we do.
To our community: thank you for being part of this journey.
Thank you for choosing to stand with Israel.
And thank you for helping us turn values into action, month after month.
🌳 Happy New Year from all of us at Lev Haolam.
